Does IDT regularly perform in silico analysis of COVID variants?

The IDT SARS-CoV-2 primer and probe sets are for research use only (RUO). Therefore, such products are expressly not intended for diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infections and are not for use in diagnostic procedures. As a part of IDT's on-going efforts to align our products to the research needs of our customers, IDT regularly conducts in silico analysis of the variants listed within the GISAID database against the SARS-CoV-2 genome and assesses the predicted Tm. Currently, the reported mutations of the Omicron variant have been identified throughout the SARS-CoV-2 genome; RUO SARS-CoV-2 primers and probes offered by IDT target the nucleocapsid gene.
