What is an assay call rate, and how is it determined?

The call rate for an assay is the proportion of the number of samples that were assigned a genotype call by the software compared to the total number of samples. The cluster tightness and separation between clusters will affect the call rate. Call rate can show slight variation based on the instrument platform on which it is tested.
