What reagents will I need in addition to the Alt-R™ guide RNAs to do a CRISPR genome editing experiment?
The Alt-R CRISPR-Cas9 System provides custom CRISPR crRNA and a universal CRISPR tracrRNA, both of which are required for CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing using the Alt-R CRISPR-Cas9 System protocol.
Alt-R CRISPR-Cas9 System also provides single RNA molecules (sgRNA) comprised of both crRNA and tracrRNA sequences combined.
A Nuclease-Free Duplexing Buffer used to complex the crRNA and the tracrRNA is included with the tracrRNA. You will also need S. pyogenes Cas9 endonuclease. Supply your own transfection reagents that will effectively deliver RNA and DNA into your cell lines.
We also highly recommend the use of controls, which can be ordered as part of the Alt-R CRISPR-Cas9 System.
